CCA/SPRING VALLEY SHELTER

OFFICE COORDINATOR

Reports to:  Assistant Program Director

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Receptionist will be the “first impression of Spring Valley Shelter" and will provide a professional, consistent and friendly environment for all participants and visitors of Spring Valley Shelter.

DUTIES

  • Answer the SVS phone lines. Route calls correctly.

  • Take and File  intakes

  • Greet visitors entering the building. Receive donations
    (in-kind or financial).

  • Assist clients by giving the their mail, accessing the OTC meds, etc.

  • Tabulate monthly statistics regarding intakes, in-kind items, in-kind time, etc.

  • Maintain shelter admissions log (Excel), monthly census (Excel) and monthly ESG report.

  • Give reminder phone calls to life skills class speakers and other volunteers.

  • Maintain client’s meeting attendance charts.

  • Tabulate/record client class evaluations and exit evaluations. ( Excel)

  • Enter client data into HMIS at discharge.

  • Assist the Assistant Program Director w/daily tasks of Shelter Assistant Management.

  • Assist with Emergency Assistance Program.

  • Help monitor security cameras.

  • Keep front desk and lobby area organized.

  • Order office supplies as needed.

  • Provide backup in answering CCA phone lines.

  • Maintain confidentiality.

  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB STATUS: Part-Time (approximately 30 hours per week)

SALARY:   $9.00/hour

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a GED/High School Diploma

  • Must be able to multi-task and handle high-paced office setting in a professional manner

  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs

  • Must have reliable transportation

  • Must maintain appropriate boundaries and confidentiality


CCA/Greenwich House
Residential Technician
(Part-Time)

Reports to:  Program Director
Supervises:
  Program Participants and Volunteers

Duties:

  • Writes daily progress notes

  • Facilitates daily living skills in groups and with individuals

  • Monitors and records medication compliance

  • Helps clients build necessary life skills

  • Oversees and assists with household tasks

  • Assists clients with meeting individual treatment plan goals

  • Updates and reads staff log when necessary

  • Clerical duties as assigned

  • Provides input into the formation of individualized treatment plans

  • Answers telephone

  • Oversee day to day activities of clients

  • Drive clients to necessary appointments and activities

  • Completes other duties assigned by Program Director

 Qualifications:

  • BA or BS in psychology, social work, or related preferred

  • Experience working in mental health and addictions and/or residential treatment preferred

  • Valid driver’s license with a  clear and insurable driving record

  • CPR Certification

  • TB test yearly

  • Effective written and oral communication skills

  • Understands and able to keep confidentiality

  • Able to complete medication education program within 30 days

  • Able to work effectively as a team member

  • Able to resolve conflicts in a positive manner

  • Able to use Microsoft Office

  • Able to lift 30 pounds and climb stairs several times a day

 Salary:

  • $8 per hour with shift differentiation of $.50 for working nights or weekends
