"To the Staff at Spring Valley:
My time here has been a learning and great experience for me. I have met a lot of wonderful people who have not only become my friends, but a part of my family. Even on my worst days where you think that there is no way out of a terrible situation, the family here kept me strong and made me realize that there is always hope under any circumstance.
I will miss everyone here at Spring Valley!  God bless everyone here at Spring Valley!"
Comments from a single mother who recently moved into her own residence and is on the road to a better future for her and her children.

How You Can Help

There are many ways for you as an individual, business, or youth or service group to get involved with CCA, including contributions of time, talent, materials/items,and monetary gifts.

Volunteers lead classes, participate in work projects, organize food or other supply drives, serve on committees, serve on the board, and make presentations to groups. To learn more about volunteer opportunities, email volunteer@ccaportercounty.org.

Individuals, schools, families or any other group can organize food or supply drives to help stock our pantries. Our pantries help Spring Valley and Greenwich House clients by providing them food items, cleaning supplies, paper products and diapers, which helps to stretch their grocery budgets.  Click here to see the most current needs of our pantries.

Monetary support is an essential ingredient in CCA's ability to positively impact the lives of our clients through classes, one-on-one counseling, case management and life skills development.  Individuals and businesses can help change lives with their support of CCA's programs with annual contributions, major program sponsorship, endowment support and/or capital improvement investment.

Corporate sponsorships provide a significant return on community investment as well as extensive marketing exposure throughout the year. Corporate sponsors receive recognition in our electronic publications which include this website and our monthly eUpdate. Print publications for CCA events provide additional exposure for corporate sponsors, in pre-event publicity, press releases and newsletters.

Most importantly, your support is an investment in our community as we move individuals from outside the productive labor pool to the position of sought-after potential employees!

Major program sponsorship, endowment/planned giving opportunities and capital projects are a great way to make a legacy investment to assist neighbors in need and impact our community in a positive way for years to come. Contact R.G. Skadberg (rg@ccaportercounty.org or (219) 548-2379) to learn how you, your family or business can have a major impact tailored to fit your situation while serving those looking for that life-changing opportuntiy.
